PostSubject: My best friend   Sat Jul 18, 2009 9:27 am

Today, Is a sad day, One I don't think I'll forget. the eighteenth of june, at Ten Oh' one Am.
The world lost The last person I fully trusted on the entire planet.
No one else other than family will mourn,
Thats is what she was to us, That and so much more.
Not just family, but a confidant and friend.
I know she kept all the secrets i ever told her,
All the silly longing of a young girls heart.
I could come to her and cry on her shoulders, Tell her everything, even the things that were sad.
No matter What I told her, she'd always look at me and smile,
Telling me thats somehow, she understood, even the things that were bad.
We'd run around for hours, sometimes for miles.
I could never keep up, But when I was with her I didn't mind.
Her on one end, me trailing a little behind.
All the time I spent with her, none was ever wasted,
Even when we just sat and stared into the sun.
My only true best friend, Had a long life, not one barely tasted.
Even when I was little, Me and her Had fun.
I've known her all my life, since I was only three.
Without her, this world a lonely place will be.
I never thought I'd miss Her fur up my nose,
Digging in the yard with her,
Mud all on my clothes.
Of all the things she taught me, theres one I miss the most.
She was more than a friend, Someone I could hold close.
I'll always miss her, And Yeah, It does kinda hurt.
The last piece of my childhood gone,
Burried Underneath the dirt.
Its like a stamp, like a sticker, always stuck on,
The imprint she left me,
For the time that we, were we.

I know its terrible, that this is all I can do, For one so dear as you, Someone I held so close for all your 16 years. I'ma miss you yet, even when My son is grown.
She taught me that you can have your heart broken, but having a friend there to listen, and lick away your tears just makes the heartache form silly boys pass that much easier. She was there for me, Always in my back yard, Never to far away, and now She's gone for good. Every time She got out the fence, I'd run, yelling her name 'till the neighbors thought I was nuts, But then, Around a corner she'd come, and everything was always okay again. Now, Will it ever be? I lost my best friend today, And while she maybe just a dog to some, She was my only friend for years, and one of the damn finest family members this family has ever seen. I've known her since I was three, and now, all I can offer her is a simple less than three. She never made me feel like I was anything less, She never made me so full of myself that I got lost. She kept me on my feet, when Others tried to push me down. She was the best person I think I'll ever know. I'm sorry you didn't get to meet her, You'd have loved her too. And she'd have given all that love, right back to you and more.

Here's to you cinnamon, This world is a lesser place without you in it.\

I'm not quite sure what to think of this. Is this meant to be a poem, or a rant? There are bits that rhyme, but if this is supposed to be poetry, then the formatting needs some serious work. Content-wise, this is a very raw and emotional work that I think holds great potential for the future.

I don't know what its supposed to be.... Its just how I feel.... I don't write much.... It was kinda hard to write, seeing as I was crying..... She died this morning.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've written pieces like that before. I've done so for a few friends, and quite a few family members. What I do, is once I've vented out the initial emotion, I polish the work as much as possible and turn into a tribute to their memory.

As soon as I have It all out, I will fix it... I just... those were the first words that came to my mind.... She was my best friend for 16 years... and she's just... gone... I feel so damn... empty. She tried to bite me yesterday when I went to pet her and told her I love her, Like I do every day. It just makes me sad.
