| Simple truths are oft misleading, Complex lies so mind-diseasing, Language plays its part, and plays it well But like the writing on the wall, Slaves shall heed Master’s call, What we all shall take Once made, What we all shall break Rational Thought Magician casts his spell.
Elect the pope for politics, Revile the saviour you beat with sticks,
Watch. (That’s what you’ve got eyes for) Listen. (Their eyes more than their ears) Learn. (Soon you’ll be one with all others) Speak. (But only when spoken to) Live.
Side-by-side, carve the way forward. Find a place you cannot abide.
What horrors spoke – “Come! Be turned!”? What a twisted thought, That apathy Could kill this sport, And like birds who trill a song, Never get a single note wrong, But the strings are broken, the music burned Simple facts tend to the opaque, Harmonies an idiot could fake. | |

| This is rather different from your usual work, Chris. But that isn't a bad thing. It's perhaps a bit more metaphysical than you usually are, but you do it well. And, as per usual, you've portrayed your message with that peculiar grace only you can conjure. Well done. | |

| It was an interesting piece to write, that's for sure. I'm still not quite happy with it, though that's only to be expected really - it is a damn sight different to what I normally write. | |
